Fresh Ways to Support Our Local Schools

By Daniel Reyes09 Dec 20254 min read

Teachers told us exactly what would help: stocked supply closets, one-on-one reading time, and field trips that don’t depend on a family’s wallet. So that’s precisely what we funded.

Supply Closets, Not Supply Lists

Instead of sending families long shopping lists, we stock classroom closets directly with notebooks, pencils, tissues, and art supplies. Teachers grab what their students need, and no child ever sits out an activity for lack of materials.

Tutors Who Feel Like Big Siblings

Our 60 trained tutors meet students twice a week for homework and reading practice. Grades are climbing — but the letters parents send us talk about confidence, curiosity, and kids who finally raise their hands.

“My daughter went from hiding her report card to taping it on the fridge. Her tutor believed in her first.” — Marcus, Learning for All parent

Teacher Grants That Say Yes

Twice a year, teachers pitch classroom dreams — a robotics kit, a garden bed, a theater trip — and our grant circle funds them within weeks. Small yeses, compounded across thirty classrooms, change what school feels like.

  • 30 classrooms with fully stocked supply closets.
  • 210 students paired with weekly tutors.
  • 42 teacher grants funded this school year.
